Is the grass greener on the other side? This means more opportunities or a fresh start, right? A phrase we have heard for decades. But what really awaits for us on the other side? What are we looking for? What if…we had everything right in front of us?
I stumbled upon a quote a while ago that gave me an interesting perspective.
“The grass is greener where you water it.” -Neil Barringham
The meaning doesn’t go away, but simply implies that you have the power, the choice, the mindset to make things better for yourself, yourself. Take care of what you have right in front of you.
What are you thankful for? Are your needs being met? Are you truly happy? Perspective: could it be worse? Stay. Look around and seek the possibilities right where you are and water your grass often.
Write a comment below and share your own thoughts and maybe experiences to encourage others to use this as a mantra too… Take care of you. -Hannah
Another way to water your life is to take time to be grateful for what you have and journaling about them daily. It’s Easy to focus on the negatives, too easy sometimes, but when you take time to acknowledge daily gratitudes the grass becomes greener!
